The bass is completely lost in the background noise and at high volumes the sound just deteriorates too much. What I can definitely confirm is that all these new versions are louder but that didn't bother me much. Looking at the Dynamic Range specs (if we trust this list here) it's true that 1993 CDs have higher DR scales but in all honesty, these 2012 remasters sound great to my ears. So apparently some people think the best sounding Aerosmith albums are the 1993 remasters (which I own on CD and carefully ripped as flac files). So, I have recently downloaded most of the 2012 remasters in Hi-Res and looked for some opinions around the net. ![]()
